Could anyone of you provide me with the Scribe policy being imposed by Karnataka Subordinate service Selection Board and Maharashtra subordinate Service selection Board. If you know about other states too, please do send across. We need a few names of the examination bodies which do not impose the rule of less than 60% marks. As far as DSSSB is concern, I am told that they also do not insist with such rule of less than 60%. Have also come to know that RBI is another authority which remains away from implementing this policy.

Amit Bhatt

Actually, in December 2007 at Hyderabad, while appearing for NET in psychology which eventually I qualified even got JRF, the scribe in first two papers, was not upto the mark, and I got her changed in favor of another but slightly better lady for third paper, though one of my friends in the same paper and in the same room, continued to put up with an utterly incompetent man as a scribe.. Actually, the first lady could not read out to me the table for which there are no alternative questions and we have to attempt it.

The second lady, though a bit more competent to take dictation, was doing it grudgingly though later I came to know that she was being played around RS. 700 for the job in 2007!!! However, I kept her in check by frequently asking to read out what she has taken down, and sternly warning her about any omissions which were not infrequent......

Hi Amit sir,

Here is another case for you from this forum. Since this is an
extreme in it's nature, I still remember it and searched for it in my
mail. I am pasting the name of the sender, date of posting, and the
body of the mail for your reference. I hope the original sender
doesn't mind as I have taken the mail from Access India mails.

hi folks
I don't think this is an isolated incident. I to have faced the
problem of incompetent scribe or writer twice. Once with UGC NET and
almost a year back with kerala PSC. In the latter case, the person who
came to assist me was completely drunk. and i had to request the exam
authorities to replace him which they did. But not before a war of
words and threatening from the drunken man. the whole situation can
dampen ones spirit and confidence.
Now, if this is so widespread we must do something urgent. let's put
our thoughts and experiences together and try to find a solution.
cheers
rohith

Further have come to know that several reminders have been sent to the

Amit please ask SSisodia. In his matter RBI and SBI have filed replies.
This case changed the SBI rules from 50% to 60%.
This matter is not over as yet. In this matter we had the meeting on 19th
February -minutes of this meeting have been sent to you by Rajesh.

Thank you Rajesh bhai.
I have also come to know that RBI does not bound us with such arbitrary
rule of using Scribe with less than 60% marks.
I have saved an old recruitment advertisement given by RBI in 2010 where
I could see no guideline given for on the use of the Scribe.
Since you are working with them, could you see and find out the Scribe
rules of RBI?

Dear Amit
Please find the minutes of Meeting about scribe policy held by CCPD on
Feb. 19, 2008, and Guidelines issued by Maharashtra CPD at the behest of
Bombay High court on December 20, 2006, in Marathi along with
translation, enclosed.
Recent order of April 29, 2011, clarifies that one grade junior means one

year junior, and not one course junior...

Let us hope that five candidates with desired scribes would come forth.
If not, let me know and I myself would apply for any ongoing exams and
come forth against the grave injustice being perpetrated on VI in the
name of curbing cheating.....

Dear friends,

We will need at least 5 examinees along with their scribe to be
presented in the Court if it is required at the initial stage of our
petition process.
I have been told by Advocate that he needs 5 people who wanted to take
their exams using their faithful writers with more than 60% marks but
they could not take the exams because of the existing rule of using
Scribe with having less than 60% marks only.
The Scribes may have to write something on the sheet if Court asks to do
so.
Actually we have to persuade the Court in an appropriate manner and
for that Magistrate may ask us to present some facts.
Please do talk to me on 9560175887 if you need any further understanding.
Would request any of the 5 victim examinees to come forward with me to
process the petition strongly against the arbitrary Scribe policies.

Regards,

Amit Bhatt
