Depends on what kind of assignment of H.R you would be working on & if
your employer requires any H.R formal academic qualification.

Friend, believe me,
My friends who are HR MBAs also learn only on the job.
However, profiles such as compensation & Benefits, PMS etc. do
requires some bit of acad knowledge.

I performed well for more than 4 years with a placement firm
successfully when never had formal academic background in HR.

So just go ahead & use your interpersonal skills to succeed.
