Subject: [AI] Re courteous

Dear Mr. David
Nice to hear from you that you carry such great respect for Retina
India . it is really appreciable and also what you are discussing here
makes sense , but i request you also to please maintain the discipline
in this platform . Please be little polite ---- you are talking about
Ego of the people but your words re really very thrashing and are
disturbing . if couple of people"s emotions have been hurted doe snot
mean that we can be defensive against them and write anything .Please
do not forget that we all are humans and it is our duty to respect all
human beings RESPECTING others is an indication of one’s depth as a
person, the strength and profundity of one’s character. If you are
demanding of yourself, you can be kind to others. The person who works
hardest is the most accepting of others. In contrast, those who are
slipshod and undisciplined themselves are usually hard on others.
Those who have never worked hard themselves tend to demand that others
do so.

Since I am attached with retina India from very long and i know the
efforts they are putting up -- i really appreciate the group and Dr.
rajat sharma who is really a good human being but that doe snot give
me liberty to be respectful for one person and disrespectful for other

RUDE or disrespectful language should not be used in the PLATFORM When
talking to fellow members, you should approach one another courteously
and in a spirit of mutual respect, regardless of the differences .
Always remember: conduct that is courteous and rich in common sense,
conduct that shines with human character is the mark of a person of
faith.
Hope the group members will understand my point of view . this is open
channel and lets not debate on irrelevant things . lets make this
channel or platform something useful where we can share common goals
and we all have a common goal that fight against all obstacles
whichever come in our VI life
Stay Blessed may all be victorious .

I am shocked that respected people whom I have admired for years are
behaving like this. I have lost all respect and as one of the thousands of
volunteers who are working for over two years now to provide peer support
and admirably assisting visually challenged, low vision to cope up with life
and living.I am ashamed that people are not able to be tolerant.

There seems to be a cozy elite group on the virtual world with a lot of ego. Kindly do not hurt the feelings of hundreds of blind/VI who are not so lucky
to reach the level you have reached.

If this kind of mud slinging takes place, you are out of touch with the
pulse of the community. RETINA INDIA is a MOVEMENT for the betterment oF
VISUALLY CHALLENGED, LOW VISION AND THEIR FAMILIES AND PEER GROUPS

Kindly reexamine yourself and stop these kinds of derogatory remarks. If you
want to attend the conference with your escort please let me know I will
provide you a flight ticket and a flight for YOUR escort.

But just because some did not get you comforts don't degrade an organisation
which is the pulse of India now. RI are struggling to put things together
and this is shocking that respected people fail to understand and work for
the common cause.

For your kind info it is not the doctors, it is the patients who are
backbone of RETINA INDIA which has board members who are patients unltike
many other such organisattions. thanks to our GREAT DOCTOR.

People who look for persoNal benefits and vested interests are ruling the

even a kg student can make out.

In the first place, I suggest you stop using RBI email and behave yourself.

Dear Mr. Rajesh, I agree with you completely that fumbling
around will not be taken as trying at one's best. I have seen many
people laughing at a fumbling blind person. Many people here asked me
that why don't you people get some sighted people with you.

Moreover, when you are ready to ask some unknown person's help in
between, why do you think having escort is not preferable? There is a
limit to everything, so as your independence. Your independence should
not put an end to your life no? Therefore as Mr. Rajesh said, it is
better to have an escort at least in a new surroundings when you can
afford one; Untill you have a good device which caters the need of
sight to a large extent.

I don't think that any senses are now able to substitute the sight
unless you try something different like echolocation.

I don't know the efficiency of echolocation in extremely noisy places.
If any one is expert in echolocation, please do contact me off the
list.

Thanks in advance.

Mr. Rajesh

I myself am a mother of 7 year old son who is visually handi cap and
from the very first day from admitting to school till date i have
faced lot of inconveniences . so i can very well understand your
inconvenience level but there is one thing which always i make my son
and myself understand that
IT is important for us to stay unaffected by the praise and criticism
of the world, to stay steadfast when buffeted by the raging waves of
jealousy around us.Look down on these things from a higher plane, and
use them to make yourself a stronger person.

As far as cure is concerned Something is better than nothing , if
couple of people are working on some good thing , no matter during
this process if our sentiments or some inconveniences are being caused
but if we see that in future some how it may help Visually people i
think we should appreciate and move forward ---
ALL of us should have aim to put all our efforts and fight Blindness
, no matter how we should advance along the path leading towards
success . It is vital never to stray from this path as a result of
being swayed by immediate relative advantages or disadvantages, or by
petty emotionalism. If we should veer from all these actions and
efforts being taken towards blindness , we ourself will lose out.
last but not least BENEFIT does not mean that we always enjoy
favourable circumstances.

It is not philosphy but a true fact .....
Thanks and regards
Anjina
