The Disability colloquium of Sambhavana invites you to a talk by Prof. Vikas Gupta, Department of History, University of Delhi. The topic of his lecture is ‘Exclusionary politics of the Right to education Act’. Prof. Gupta specializes in history of education in colonial and postcolonial India. He has presented many papers on various issues in national and international conferences including one at SOAS, London. He has also contributed in many journals like EPW. He is a rare blend of an activist and a scholar since; he is actively associated with groups like AIFRTE and also the Joint Secretary, Sambhavana. Presently he is working on a monograph on exclusion of the disabled in RTE. The present talk is a part of the larger study that he is working on. I hope that we will have an Interesting lecture as well as a stimulating discussion. Date: November fifth, Saturday. Time: 10.30 AM.
