the second segment of a three-part article on the evolution of
braille. In this piece, BANA focuses on the complexities of code

available: The new feature in this version is called by the author the
AudioTack display. The AudioTac Display makes it possible for blind
users to interpret drawings using sound in conjunction with touch, an
embossed tactile grid (paper), and a mouse or a touchpad. It makes it
possible for blind users to obtain hardcore quantitative information
about a shape, such as the locations and values of the peaks and
troughs in a graph showing the price of a stock, or the distance
between two walls in the floor plan of an apartment.
