Hello Austin, Speed in megahertz is determined by motherboard ,Ram and processor configuration. The Ram speed can be altered by changing settings of RAM from Bios .Branded PC have removed this option ,but it can be done on assembled PC. Instead you can clean the system by removing unnecessary data by backing up ,use disk defrag and keep min. programs running at startup .
