Press Release Dear Sir / Madam BGFI celebrates international day for disabled-Musical evening by Visually impaired Blind Graduates forum of India, a non government organization working for the empowerment of the visually challenged is going to celebrate the international day for persons with disabilities by arranging a musical evening of blind artists on Saturday December 17, 2011 at 5:30P.M. at Sai Sabhagraha Shankarnagar, Nagpur. All the singers and instrumentalists are blind. They would regale the audience with melodious songs. The programme would be inaugurated by well-known social activist Mr. Girish Gandhi. Artists include, Mr. Jairam Balasubramaniam; a noted singer of Tamil film industry who is himself blind, Ms. Amruta Bhopale, Mr. Ziya etc. BGFI particularly works for the education and employment of the visually challenged. Recently it has launched free classes to prepare them for competitive exams at Dhantoli.
