These efforts have been culminated over the years through various initiatives. A process to unify various efforts was made in 2006 with CCPD. The same needs to be followed through now. Hence this is a collective effort to partner with all concerned stakeholders to prepare a joint representation of common uniform guidelines that can be submitted to the government to be issued which can then become the base for all examination authorities and examinations. The Score Foundation (Eyeway) and Xavier’s Resource Center for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) in collaboration have put together the first draft for sharing with the community. You will find a researched draft of guidelines which have been built up on all the existing work done so far on either of the following links: http://www.eyeway.org/includes/advocacy http://www.xrcvc.org (visit Quick Link section on XRCVC Website’s home page) We are taking this opportunity to seek feedback on the same so as to incorporate the feedback into the draft. The draft as of now within point 5, 7, 10, 25, 26 and 27 has raised certain questions for which we would specially seek your feedback. If you could send in your feedback as an individual or an organization to scr...@eyeway.org latest by 15th January 2012 it would tremendously help us in creating these guidelines. This will be used to build up the final joint representation. If your organization would like sign the collective representation do inform us at scr...@eyeway.org by 15th January 2012. These guidelines have been prepared in collaboration by Eyeway and XRCVC building upon the work done by all organizations in the field over the years. This is only an effort to restart the process of putting together a joint representation and we would like to invite all to send us your valuable feedback. Looking forward to putting together a strong and effective guidelines in partnership with all. Thanking You Regards, Mr. George Abraham CEO, Score Foundation, Eyeway Dr. Sam Taraporevala Director, XRCVC, Search for old postings at: http://www.mail-archive.com/accessindia@accessindia.org.in/ To unsubscribe send a message to accessindia-requ...@accessindia.org.in with the subject unsubscribe.
