Dear Chakshumathi mates, We are very proud to bring you the 10th issue of Chakshumathi Malayalam Daisy fortnightly to you. We are also very glad to receive your valuable comments and suggestions and we tried our maximum to include those suggestions in these coming issues.
One of the suggestion we received from Gopi Mash of Thiruvanchoor on giving the publication name also in the articles we read from other weeklys as a reference point is welcome. Chakshumathi fortnightly has its own articles as well as a scan of good articles from the recent publications in the stand. Some of the publications we get permission to reproduce and some no reply for our request even. So who ever given permission to reproduce, we will mention the name of the publication, others due to copyright issues we have to keep a silence in this matter. However you can personally call me over phone to know the name of the publication and we are happy to inform you. 10th issue is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda and to the Youths of India. January 12, 2012 onwards a year is going to be celebrated as the 150 year birth celebration of this great Saint who insist India as a country of all religions and said the famous wording “Unity in Diversity” (Nannathotil Ekeattham). Also this issue has some more rich and informative contents. Read the content page first for an insight. Next issue is dedicated to Education and we are currently preparing an extensive report on “Inclusive Education for the Blind” in Kerala. Visually challenged students in Kerala are now under IED (Inclusive education department) departments of the schools, were students with disabilities are kept under the guidance of a special resource teacher. One of the major questions in this topic is that the blind schools are a good idea or the children should study in a normal school and live and mingle with sighted children so that in future when they are ready to set their life in the big world, they may feel comfort. The above is not Chakshumathi’s view point, it is a common question. Also we should hear from you, what should be the best methods you think which can improve the current inclusive education programme. Please call me in 8089926417 to tell us your views on this topic. Kindly call me on or before 25th January 2012. Those who has problems in downloading these files, send your address to receive a CD of the fortnightly by post.
