Folks: Thank you all so much for your continuous emails regarding the webcast on android that I’m gonna connduct tomorrow. Apart from the android related questions, I have received some emails where people wanted me to confirm several details about the webcast. I thought to write a public mail on the list instead so that the doubts can be cleared if there are some. Hence, following are the clarifications in the form of frequently asked questions (FAQs):
1. what is the timeing of the webcast? the webcast will start at 9:30 pm on Saturday, the 21st January 2012. 8:30 is the time when live streaming will be started to give you the space for testing and calling your friends for the event. Also, you can report the problems of streaming if there are any, during 8:30 to 9:30 PM to ensure the smooth listening. 2. What are the methods to connect during live transmission? you can call me live through skype and your calls would then be audible to all the people listening to the webcast. Or else, you can either send chat messages on skype or send direct emails for conveying your feedback during the live transmission. 3. What’s going to be the language of the webcast? a lot of emails have been received where people wanted the webcast to be done in hindi. In order to benefit maximum possible peple, I have decided to do the webcast bilingually. I’ll try to state important things in both the languages i.e. English and hindi. 4. Can I ask questions other then android? Though the webcast is focused mainly on android phones and there accessibility, but the general questions regarding other platforms including simbian and I phones are welcome, provided that they are related to OS in general and not phone specific. Hope that the above answers might have helped clearing your doubts. I’m looking forward for your kind presence in the webcast tomorrow, that’s Saturday, the 21st of January 2012. See you there!
