Skype will work with 2G. But, you have to find good connection in your area. If you get 16 KBPS downloading speed in IDM always, you can use it. BSNL provides 32 KBPS downloading speed in gprs if 3g available in your area and mobile. You can chat and watch youtube videos without buffering. I am using it. Also test Docomo, Aircel and Vodafone. --
