Hi Vamshi

Under dropbox folder there are
2 default folders photos and public.

You can create any more folders using my-computer
Later you copy files to this folder similar to any other folder on the computer.
It is not creating a shortcut link.

You can open any file straight from here, make changees on it and use the regular save command and the changes will be get reflected here.

After visiting their website, you can retrieve the earlier versions of that file.

In short, even if you goof up the file and earlier you had a good copy of that file which you had saved in the past, you can still get back, irrespective that file got modified multiple times thereafter.

If there are more doubts, do revert.

Does saving to the drop box folder mean creating a short cut of the
folder and pasting it in the drop box? If the original folder gets
deleted, will the folder in the drop box be available?

Dear friends,

I am working on my PhD thesis. I am writing lot of material every day
and don't want to loose it in case of any system crash. Can I have an
on line back up of one of the folders on drop box so that whenever I
write a document or update an existing document in that folder,
there should be an automatic back up on the drop box without me
requiring to do that manually?

Awaiting guidance.
