Dear Balaram, It is possible to read ePub books as is if it is text based. But if you want to extract the text then it is a very simple process. Just use WINZIP or any other such utility to uncompress the .epub file. Yes, epub files are actually zipped archives. Inside you will find html files for the text, image files etc. Those html files are what you want.
