You must have got an email from the dropbox team. You should activate the
link in that email and follow the prompts. Otherwise, login to your dropbox
page and look for the share request. By sharing I think, dropbox means
sharing a common folder on both friends' dropbox folder. That is the way i
share files with one of my friends. Whatever either of us drops inside the
shared folder, the other's folder gets updated with that file. If any one of
us deletes a file in that folder, the other's folder loses it too.
