try disabling it in the advanced tab of the internet options dialog. in the
internet explorer, go to tools menu, go to options,it will open options
dialog, then choose advanced tab. search under the multimedia item in the
tree view.

Try the Esc key. Tis is the key for stopping background music. It does not
always work though. Moreover, it stops the page from loading if it has not
already been loaded.
