It is possible to make flow-charts in Microsoft project, but I don't know if it could be sort of copied and pasted in word.

I had explored this briefly and may revisit it in the future. To make a flowchart, you need to drop controls into a word document. I have not found a keyboard friendly way of doing this. That does not mean that it does not exist. You may have to create macros to drop controls but I am not sure. An extremely tedious way of building a flowchart would be to use vector drawing and then insert that image into your document.
