It is possible to make flow-charts in Microsoft project, but I don't know if
it could be sort of copied and pasted in word.

Dear Shreyas,

In a word you cannot make flowcharts in Microsoft office. I had explored
this briefly and may revisit it in the future.

To make a flowchart, you need to drop controls into a word document. I have
not found a keyboard friendly way of doing this. That does not mean that it
does not exist. You may have to create macros to drop controls but I am not
sure.

An extremely tedious way of building a flowchart would be to use vector
drawing and then insert that image into your document.
