in case of selecting full text, ctrl+a will work, in case of selecting a part of text, make sure that you are in editing mode, and then go to edit sub menu and there choos copy, after that, there would be a button called start on the option one, just click that, and move your cursor tward the text that you wanna copy. and again press the key one that is the copy button
