I haven't tried repairing or fixing my laptop so far. But I think it is filled up with dust or moisture. If you have an air compresser or a vacuum cleaner, try with that first. If that doesn't work, go for an external keyboard. Or else, giving it for a service.
This is what I can suggest. -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of Geetha Shamanna Sent: Saturday, April 06, 2013 9:56 PM To: accessindia@accessindia.org.in Subject: [AI] Fixing the alt key Hello all, My laptop is nearly three years old and still works perfectly fine. However, the alt key needs fixing. I have to press it twice as hard and several times in order to get it to work. Can something be done so that the key behaves normally again, except taking the computer to a shop for the key to be replaced? Thanks for any advice.
