You can learn Hindi by reading books, listening to radio and TV,
talking over phone or Skype and, of course, writing letters if you
have time. There are more similarities between Hindi and English in
sentence formation than between Dravidian languages and English. For
example, both English and Hindi have supporting verbs. You can read
bibles of Hindi and English; listen to Hindi and English news; and,
NIVH, Dehra Dun has some braille books for Hindi speakers to learn
English. You can use them to learn Hindi.

if yes, then i can help u, and u can get in touch with me off the
list. if not, then 1 of the ways is that u can start by listening to
hindi radio channals, news etc, and also perhaps watch or listen to
hindi movies and television.
if u have access to audio books in hindi u could also make use of them.
but of course these r secondry sources if u cannot get direct help.
