UJJWALA 2013- ANNUAL FESTIVAL  

NAB INDIA CENTRE FOR BLIND WOMEN &
DISABILITY STUDIES 


NAB India Centre, Hauz Khas, New Delhi welcomes
all visually impaired boys and girls/ men and women (above 16 yrs of age) to
come and enjoy the fun events of UJJWALA 2013, 
the annual festival. 

on 26th October 2013 i.e. Saturday 

at NAB Centre for Blind Women, L-25, Hauz Khas Enclave,
New Delhi.

 (Nearest
bus stops-Padmini Enclave & IIT, 

Nearest
Metro Station-Hauz Khas, get out from Gate no. 3 or
gate leading towards Mayfair
 Gardens, then come
straight till you find a gate on left towards chor minar. Centre is next to
chor minar.)

Last day to send the entries is 15th October 2013. NAB
Centre will have the right for closing entries for events any time it feels
right.

Day:
26th October 2013, Saturday- Culturals and Games Day

 

Events

 

1.     
Chess:
will be on knock out basis. 

Please bring your own
chess boards

 

2.     
Singing-
Auditions will start at 8 am, so please be there in time.  

Please send your
entries in one of the two categories- With Track or without track. 

The singing theme
shall be Pop, Sufi, Bollywood Songs, and Folk Songs only.   Final
participants shall be chosen after auditions.

 

3.     
Group
Comedy: No solo performances allowed. 2 or more than 2
persons can form a group. Final groups shall be chosen after auditions on the
basis of comic content.

 

4.     
Dance:
Please send your entries in one of the two categories- Low Vision or Totally
Blind. 

Please bring your own
costume and sound track in a pen drive or CD.  Sound Tracks to be submitted 
latest by 10.00
AM on 26th Oct.

 

5.     
Instrumental
Music: Any instrument except harmonium and Casio are welcome. Please
bring your own instrument.

 

Please reach in time
for auditions. Late comers shall not be allowed to perform.

Attractive
Cash prizes for all cultural winners & 1st rankers in Chess

For
other winners in games….attractive in- kind prizes

·        
Decisions
of the Judges shall be final for all events.

·        
Refreshments
shall be given by NAB Centre for the participants on the festival day

any no. of visually impaired friends to enjoy the festival.
