Dear all,
The 2014 AccessIndia Convention is being hosted by Department of Social Work
of University of Delhi. Most of the ground work is being done by Mr. George
Abraham of Score Foundation. We are trying to make your visit comfortable
and enjoyable.
Given below is the venue address and directions to get there.

Address:
Department of Social Work
Mall Road, University of Delhi
Delhi - 110007

Note that this is also well known as Delhi School of Social Work and DSSW.
This is located in North Campus of Delhi University and is within 10
kilometres from New Delhi Railway station and about 30 kilometres from the
airport. The DSSW is adjacent to the Vishvavidyalaya Metro station and bus
stop.
Taking a metro train would be one of the most convenient ways of getting
here. If you get down at the Vishvavidyalaya Metro station then exit from
Gate 3 or 4. You will need to walk for less than 100 meters. Do not cross
the road. Ask the way to Mall road and take the right turn. The first gate
on the right side is the DSSW. Enter the gate and you will find the
auditorium entrance directly in-front of you. Volunteers will be waiting at
the Metro station gates. Please carry white canes so that they can identify
you.

The Vishvavidyalaya Metro station is on the line connecting Huda City Centre
Gurgaon with Jehangirpuri. If you are staying anywhere near the New Delhi
railway station take the metro going towards Jehangirpuri and get down at
Vishwavidyalaya Metro station.

People in south Delhi can take the Jehangirpuri metro from stations like
I.N.A. , AIIMS, Hauz Khas, Saket etc.

People coming from West Delhi can take the metro to Rajiv Chowk and then
take the Jehangirpuri metro from there.
>From North west Delhi areas like Rohini you can take the metro to Kashmiri
gate and then change and take the Jehangirpuri Metro.

>From Eastern Delhi you can take the nearest metro and change at Rajiv Chowk
or Kashmiri Gate, whichever is on your way. You can ask for assistance from
the metro staff. They have a support service, they will escort you to the
traing and also help you get out of the station at the destination.
Metro helpline number 155370 is also accessible from the mobile.

This place is also very well connected by bus service. Check for buses going
to Delhi University area and get down at the bus stop adjacent to Metro
station or ask for the Khalsa College bus stop.

If you want to use the three wheeler then ask them to take you to
Vishvavidyalaya metro station and then take the turn for Mall road. Note
that at present the meters of most autos is not updated and they will charge
an amount in addition to the meter reading. They carry a chart which has
the updated fares. This chart is available in DAISY audio format from NAB
Delhi.

Hoping to see you in big numbers at the convention.

Wishing you a happy journey,

Prashant
