When you create a database in Access, it's important to include a primary key within your table. Primary keys keep you from inserting duplicate records. You may set the primary key to automatically increment or manage it on your own. According to Microsoft Office, a composite primary key is one in which the primary key is assigned to two or more fields within a table. The fields do not have to be adjacent in your table.
