Some of the members will identify me for my earlier association with this group and I also know some of you personally. Now lets come to the topic that i am seeking help on. Like the many of the people now i have decided to take a plunj in the world of smart phones however it is easier said then done as we do not enjoy the mastery over them as we had on the treditional simbian operating system it is hear ware i seek your help. To put it plainly i am a starter in android and know very little about android accessibility A google search on this term gives me number of postings but that is just not enough to have some practical experience. Please be informed that I hold a samsung grand 2 phone with android 4.2 and know that talk back is an inbuilt accessibility tool in android my initial impressions of it is very little help but i have had feedback from many friends i know that a totally visually impaired person is able to independently use the phone. The help i am looking for from you members who are experienced enough using the android OS as to how can i make myself good at using this phone i know it may not be 100 percent accessible however if it could support features like phone navigation, using email, and accessing the internet it should serve my purpose. I am looking for help in bringing me to spead to this by suggesting resources available on the internet or outside and some volunteers who could coach me in person if in bangalore or on skype or other web based means. Please also suggest if there is any mailing list on the lines of AI which is dedicated to android accessibility. Look forward to some help from you all.
