Hi Anjina,
Nvda has all features to Japanese language.
However as your post; I guess that the problem lies in window setting
for regional languages.
You have not mentioned whether your son has a problem on writing
Japanese or he is unable to read it too.
Reading Japanese text by a screen reader and no appearance of Japanese
character in a computer is different issue.
The second has no relation to the vision status of the user.
You have not said it clearly.
Anyway, Mr.  Takuya Nishimoto  <nishim...@gmail.com> is the Japanese
maintainer of nvda. Try to contact, Perhaps he may help you.
