Well, I wonder how can they trace the event in detail without PNR numbers and
date of journey?
Just a formal marketing-technique apology, without compensation or concrete
promise not to repeat the same in future would not do, me thinks...

With thanks and regards

I have forwarded the complaint to some of my contacts in the said airlines.
Will let you know once I hear back from them. They have already told me that
they have sent the same to the concerned authorities and will let me have
the detaild report once the matter has been looked into. Will share the
same with all of you, that is, if I happen to be successful. Will follow up
with them though.
Hope this will help?

Dear Jairam
1 Did the other passengers at Delhi too had to disembark and board again. I
guess, this is sometimes insist on siting security reasons. Once when I was
flying, all other passengers were asked to disembark but I was allowed to
continue. I don't think, you could do much about this point.

However, I am not sure, one has to collect the baggage and recheckin in such
a situation. I never encountered such a scenario.

On the same airline, they have to provide boarding pass for the entire
stretch when the flight is with the same carrier. Courtecy shuttle service
between domestic terminal and international is available at Mumbai. I guess,
it would be at Delhi as well. Again for not providing assistance for both
these counts it amounts deficiency of service for which I think you have the
following recourse.
1 Consumer court
2 Complaint to DGCA
3 Complaint toCCPD for not giving assistance.
Harish.

Subject: [AI] Horrible experience with Indigo airlines

Hello friends

I had a couple of very bad experiences with Indigo recently.
In last week of June, I travelled from Nagpur to Srinagar with my infant
son, via Delhi. (Two seperate connecting flights) At Nagpur, they denied
auto check in of baggage from Nagpur to Srinagar. I had to get out of the
aircraft, collect my baggages and again go to the departure terminal of
domestic airport.

While returning from Srinagar, I was coming to Delhi and proceeding
immediately to Dubai with the same airline (Indigo).
At Srinagar airport, the airline refused to issue me with the boarding
passes upto Dubai. I remember airlines issuing boarding passes for onward
flights as well in the past. Indigo Srinagar has also given in writing that
they will not issue boarding pass for Dubai.
Secondly, they again did not give me any auto check in of baggages.
When I landed in Delhi, they promised some ground help, but no one came to
help me from the domestic terminal to the international terminal, which I
later came to know from another passenger that it was around 12 Kms away,
and I had to take a private cab to reach by myself. I also mentioned clearly
that I am blind and have an infant with me.
Indigo officials kept telling that they are a point to point carrier and
that they do not have any airport to airport transfer service. In Mumbai,
Jet airways provided me with internal airport transfer some years back when
I was travelling from domestic terminal to international terminal.
Needless to mention, this caused a great deal of inconvenience and
harassment.
I need some expert comments on whether I have any ground to complaint
against the airline, or the contention of the airline is final.

Thanks and regards
Jairam
