The same was in the case of recruitment of Officer grade A by SEBI for
which advertisements were published last year. but later with the
intervention of the Hon'ble Chief Commissioner for PWD SEBI allowed
the candidates to appear in the online exam as well as interview
without the same letter.

below is the text of the letter from SEBI :
Securities and Exchange Board of India

CHIEF GENERAL MANAGER HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION
HRD/OW/ 28130/2013 NOVEMBER 01, 2013
Shri S.S. Sinha,
Dy. Chief Commissioner
Court of Chief Commissioner for Person with Disabilities,
Department of Disability Affairs,
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment,
Sarojini House,
6, Bhagwan Dass Road,
New Delhi-110 001
Sir,
Sub: Matter relating to submission of medical certificate to the
effect that the candidate has physical limitation to write including
that of speed

Please refer to the letter (case) no. 505/1041/2013/R7134 dated
October 14, 2013 on the above mentioned matter.
We would like to bring to your notice that the clause for additional
medical certificate for physical limitation to write, including that
of speed was included in line with similar practice followed for
various examinations in the public sector. However, to ensure that all
candidates, under "Persons with Disabilities" category, using service
of scribes, could appear for the on-line examination, the aforesaid
certificate was not insisted upon before the on-line examination.
We would also like to bring to your notice that all successful
candidates under "Persons with Disabilities" category, who used
scribe, appeared for the interview. As such there is no instance of
disallowing any such candidates for interview for non-submission of
the aforesaid certificate.
While we have noted the contention of your above mentioned letter for
future reference, we would like to assure that SEBI is committed to
equal opportunities, protection of rights and full participation of
"Persons with Disabilities" in workplace.

Yours sincerely, Jayanta Jash
