A great judgment indeed! Am keen to go through it in entirety. However, I do fear that in wake of this and another judgment by Bombay HC, the government, in the pending RPD bill, may go to the extent of explicitly providing that reservation would not be applicable to promotional vacancies in class I and ii, at least. We, in turn, must insist on explicit recognition of such reservation in the new act.
