I remember AVG had something called as shields. Check if you have web
shield and if it is, then click that first and then manage exceptions.
Then you should be able to see the URL in the choose exception type.
Possibally you  are looking for exception type in the resident shield
(if I remember the name correctly).

What are you exactly using? Is it AVG Antivirus 2014, or Internet
Security 2014, or the complete suite?

By the way, free recommendation, install Aveera rather than relying on
AVG, it works pretty ausom and is hassle-free too!
