Jaws and NVDA, both are compliant to Windows 8. Jaws 15 and 16, both work with Windows 8, however, use Jaws 16 for having better user experience. NVDA is a next best Screen Reader application which is freely available to it's users. You may download the latest NVDA Version: 2015.1 at: http://www.nvaccess.org/download/ You may enjoy working on Windows 8.1 by installing NVDA on your PC.
