Hi all civil aspirents, for your benefit I am providing the detail of the services those have been identified for low vision and completely blind candidates. There are total 24 services for which UPSC will be conducting the civil services exam, but only 20 services have been identified where a disabled person can be appointed. out of these 20, only 15 have been recognized suitable for visually impaired candidates. Out of these 15 for visually impaired, 8 are earmarked only for low vision , while rest 7 are such where completely blind and low vision both can be appointed. So see the following list: 1. Indian administrative services. identified for Low vision and blind both. 2. Indian Foreign services. identified for low vision only. 3. Indian revenue services (customs and central excise Group, A). Not identified for any visually impaired. 4. Indian P & T. Account & finance service (group A.). Identified for blind, low vision and partially blind. 5. Indian Odit and accounts services (group A. ), not identified for any VH. 6. Indian defence account service (group A. ), identified for low vision only. 7. Indian revenue service (I.T), group A. for both blind and low vision. 8. Indian Ordnance Factories services (group A.), only for low vision and partially blind. 9. Indian postal services (group A.), only for low vision. 10. Indian civil accounts services (group A), only for low vision. 11. Indian railway accounts services (group A), none for any VH. 12. Indian railway personnel service (group A), only for low vision. 13. Indian railways traffic service (group A),not identified for any VH. 14. Indian defence estates service (group A),not identified for any VH. 15. Indian information services (group A), blind and low vision both. 16. Indian trade service (group A, and Group III), low vision and blind both. 17. Indian corporate law service (group A), only for low vision. 18. Armed forces headquarters civil services group B (section officers grade). identified for low vision and blind both. 19. Delhi andaman & Nicobar islands, lakshdweep, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli civil services (group B), low vision and blind both. 20.
