Voice over is built into the mac os. You can activate it by using command + f5 from anywhere. There is a steep learning curve to the screen reader and you will be better off going through the tutorial that is launched when voice over is started for the first time or by using command + h.
IMHO, voice over on the mac isn't as good or easy to use as NVDA or jaws on windows. It seems to be a screen reader created for touch screen devices that has been also provided on a regular computer. Since the world seems to be moving to all touch screen devices anyway, it may come out to be a better product in the long run though. -Manish -----Original Message----- From: AccessIndia [mailto:accessindia-boun...@accessindia.org.in] On Behalf Of srinivas bangalore_11 Sent: Saturday, June 13, 2015 11:44 AM To: accessindia Cc: sayeverything Subject: [AI] regarding screen readers for Mac book: Hi friends, Kindly tell me are there any screen reader softwares for mac book like how we have in windows as jaws and nvda.
