After I attempted to do a build of Accumulo on Windows, I noticed several random issues breaking the build . Then, I noticed that neither Hadoop or Accumulo have Windows based releases. Good thing I have a CentOS VM this machine! Should we explicitly state on the "Accumulo source code and developers guide" page of the website that the Accumulo technology stack is not a Window's compatible ?
