Simple Example Jar File Created Outside of Project Directory

Here is my directory hierarchy:
~/eclipse_projects/accumulo_trunk
After I ran 'mvn package -P assemble', I had this file:
~/eclipse_projects/lib/examples-simple-1.5.0-incubating-SNAPSHOT.jar
Please change the build process so that it is created within the project's
directory structure.
