I've actually decided not to sub-class the JassAuthenticationProvider after all now. While it has some clever stuff (the Authentication to CallbackHandler conversion comes to mind). It suits a client login more than a server login, which is required for Kerberos "mutual authentication" support.
I'll steal your Login module code though as that has proven useful :-).
