Hello ACME Working Group,
My co-authors, Henry Birge-Lee and Michael Slaughter, and I would like to
request that the working group consider adopting
draft-sheurich-acme-dns-persist.
This I-D introduces a persistent DNS validation method for ACME, aligning with
a ballot currently being discussed at the CA/Browser Forum. After incorporating
feedback, we believe the document is in a stable state and ready for broader
review.
To demonstrate our commitment, we plan to contribute implementations to key
open-source projects. Our investigation indicates that the work is
straightforward, and our planned contributions include:
- letsencrypt/pebble <https://github.com/letsencrypt/pebble>
- letsencrypt/boulder <https://github.com/letsencrypt/boulder>
- eggsampler/acme <https://github.com/eggsampler/acme>
We believe this draft would be a valuable addition to the ACME protocol and
welcome further feedback. We hope you will support a Call for Adoption.
