Please post the output of dmesg and lspci -vv (right after a fresh boot) from the kernel 2.6.18-rc2 as attachements. Also please try if the problem is still present in this kernel, just in case. I'm sorry I don't remember whether you tried the suspend to disk. If not, please do, Is there a serial port in this box?
