I can confirm that power off at shutdown works fine with an IBM ThinkPad A20m running Edgy with kernel 2.6.17-10-386. I tested and confirmed the following as OK:
* Boot with APM (default on this machine), shutdown from console using "shutdown -h now"; * Boot with APM (default on this machine), shutdown from Gnome using Lg Out button, Shut Down; * Boot with ACPI=force, shutdown from console using "shutdown -h now"; * Boot with ACPI=force, shutdown from Gnome using Lg Out button, Shut Down.
