In my case it is the POWERDOWN after the shutdown during the HIBERNATE cycle. The culprit is the nVIDIA 9631-1.0 driver. The nv drivers works with no problems. SUSPEND (to RAM) works in both drivers.
Q: Is there a way to unload the nvidia driver during the hibernation cycle and then reload it with the GUI intact? Q2: Can I attach any log files to help track this thing down? I'm using: Feisty Fawn, Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop, nVIDIA GeForceGo2 16 MB card using the "restricted" 9631-1.0 drivers. - cement_head -- Power down after shutdown does not work... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/43961 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of a duplicate bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
