[EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------- Comment #12 from [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2007-11-10 08:33 ------- Linux 2.6.18.0 - 2.6.23.1 after 4-5 .. 20 hours of uptime I have similar situation with eth1 Realtek Semiconductor Co. (but was Intel PRO 10/100) eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:0E:2E:C9:EB:2F inet addr:192.168.0.2 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::20e:2eff:fec9:eb2f/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:2341997 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:3023010 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:264698914 (252.4 MiB) TX bytes:2282126373 (2.1 GiB) Interrupt:17 Base address:0xc800 eth1: Transmit timeout, status 0c 0005 c07f media 10. eth1: Tx queue start entry 4 dirty entry 0. eth1: Tx descriptor 0 is 0008a03c. So I check my new network card on Windows 2000 Server and after 3 month uptime I put this network card back to Linux box, and after 4-5 hours of traffic it again stop working. Also problem happens only on real hardware, I tries similar configuration of Linux on VMware server / W2K Host, and all works fine. Strange thing that eth0 always running well lspci: 00:00.0 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN700/VN800/P4M800CE/Pro Host Bridge 00:00.1 Host bridge: VIA Technologies, Inc. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10) sudo ifconfig eth1 down / up fully resolve problem but after sometime problem happens again. Tested: Here is no any problem if network card has no any traffic! You may check it and after 2 days network card is up. But if you route some traffic (not too much ~20 - 70Mbps) via this network card, it will die.
