yes, Bertro, this always disables C2 on your box,
in favor of fixing the interrupt issue.
no, i don't understand Andi's comment #28 either,
as i've seen no indication that timers different
than the lapic timer are immune from the issue.
(if they were, you could have used "nolapic" for a workaround)
