I'd want to bump again up this problem... 

I don't want to sound annoying, but I'm wondering how people will be supposed
to overcome this problem if the patch won't make it into the kernel trunk; I'm
sure you understand that patching the kernel is not a solution for everybody.

Isn't there even a chance that this will be implemented, maybe as a kernel boot
param, as acpi=force is? something like insyde_enable_horrible_hack :)
