Is this a reply to acip=noirq Picutre?  In that case the option was 
title Fedora (2.6.23.12-52.fc7) test
        root (hd0,1)
        kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.23.12-52.fc7 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00
acpi=noirq noapic rhgb
        initrd /initrd-2.6.23.12-52.fc7.img

In the other picutre the option was the same as above but acpi=noirq was
substitued with acpi_osi=Linux.

Ps: I have not compiled the kernel before.  I could do it but I'll need a
little time to go through some tutorials.

If I could get some pointers it would be helpful.
