The cooler spins and doesn't stop until I launch "echo 3 > /proc/acpi/fan/FAN1/state" this stops the cooler but after that it won't ever start even if I launch "echo 0 > /proc/acpi/fan/FAN1/state" I'm not sure if you wanted me to test with the latest kernel or if I should have apply some of the patches above... if so please specify which kernel version and what patch to use. Anyway, I think you just wanted me to se whether the latest BIOS does any improvement.
