the first solution was what i used before your patch (comment #15)
strncpy(table_desc->pointer->signature, "SSDT", 4);
obviously this results in an incorrect checksum ...

I will as soon as the acpica patch is in some linux git (acpi/...) otherwise it
hard to follow by other people ...
