Soeren,
Please see if this command changes anything:
echo 1 > /proc/acpi/video/*/DOS

(should have a value of 0 before this).
And if rmmod video makes any difference.

Everybody else,
If you don't have a macbook pro or a machine that with ATI
graphics failing just like it, please do not type in to this bug report.
