Will you > take care of it or should I push it upstream? yes, it is a regression fix, but it works around extremely broken BIOS, and I'd call it slightly risky: we go (cripled?) real mode -> protected mode -> real mode -> protected mode now. (Note that even old code would die horribly as soon as you enabled acpi_sleep=s3_bios/s3_mode...) I'd prefer this to go into 2.6.27.
