Latest working kernel version:
Earliest failing kernel version:
Distribution:
Hardware Environment: IBM T40p
Software Environment: Linux 2.6.25.10
Problem Description: In S3 standby mode, after a day, laptop battery dies.
(Using APM, laptop battery dies after 3 - 4 days)

Steps to reproduce:

1. Note battery level

2. echo -n mem > /sys/power/state (the laptop goes in standby mode)

3. Wait about 10 to 20 hours and open your laptop

4. Check the battery level

5. Now do the same steps with APM and notice the huge difference!
(using acpi, battery dies after 24 hours. Using apm, it lasts
    3 to 4 days!)
