After the problem is observed, please
cat /proc/interrupts
grep . /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/*
and paste the output here.
so we can see if this is some sort of event storm.
If yes, you may also observe with top(1) if any threads/processes
are hogging the cpu time during the performance problem.
