so 2.6.27-rc5/rc6 work properly,
and this bug is just against 2.6.26 --
which requires "idle=poll" to boot w/o intervention?
I've heard that AMD recently broke timers in their "C1E"
and that a workaround was developed for them.
I don't know if that workaround is in 2.6.26.stable yet or not.
Can you try the latest 2.6.26.stable kernel
eg. currently 2.6.26.5 (dmesg above shows 2.6.26)
