I don't understand anything now. I have retried 2.6.27-rc7 kernel without any special patch and without setting the BUS type to PCI and the problem again occurs. I don't understand why it has only worked once. I have attached the xorg.log file you asked for. Your last doesn't patch doesn't help and make things worse. With this one, the screen remains black when X starts and I never see the GDM login window. I can't even reboot the PC cleanly.
